Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Jamie Braden has dedicated her life to being an educator. Since 1978 she has taught in some capacity or other in various schools. Some of her job titles over the years include: resource teacher, special education teacher, vice principal and principal.
She holds a BA degree in Social Science with an emphasis in American History with a minor in Theater. She also holds a Master of Science in Special Education as well as in Secondary Administration. With multiple certifications to include K-12, Special Education and 712 Social Sciences as well as a certification to teach English as a Second Language, Ms. Braden is currently studying to get her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership for Schools and Non-Profits.
As a resident in District 26 for over a decade, Ms. Braden understands the issues that impact that area more than anyone.
